Assignment in Arabic and English

Responses:

After reading the three documents, please compose a short essay that incorporates both readings, and answer the following question:

  • Please start by telling us about any media and digital literacy initiatives, courses, workshops or activities in your country or other Arab country you are familiar with. What were their goals, how successful have they been, and what have they achieved?
  • What role can media literacy play in the Arab world, particularly in your country?
  • What are the most pressing topics that should be addressed in a media literacy course offered at an Arab university, especially in your country?
  • How can media literacy better foster connectivity and understanding in the Arab world, across cultures, religions, and other divides?

The essay should be 2-3 pages long (roughly 1 paragraph per question), 12pt font, double-spaced, with a short bibliography. The essay can be in Arabic or in English.
